Art Deco Opalescent Glass Bowl ‘Hazelnut & Leaf’ Motif c1930s holly pattern In October 1916 Cobby wasA striking Art Deco opalescent glass bowl dating to the 1930s. Beautifully moulded with a flowing hazelnut and leaf motif in relief, the design radiates from the centre and is elevated on three sculptural feet formed as clusters of hazelnuts. The raised form allows light to pass through the glass, creating a soft opalescent glow. A strong decorative piece typical of interwar European pressed glass, combining organic form with clean Art Deco symmetry.
