Domaine Jean Chauvenet was founded in 1969 and has been run since 1994 by Christine Chauvenet (Jean's daughter) and her husband Christophe Drag, working low intervention across nine hectares. The Rue de Chaux 1er Cru sits on the village side of Nuits Saint Georges, named for the road climbing to Chaux in the Hautes Ctes, and Chauvenet's tiny parcel was planted
