Common Green Charaxes entomology Papilio zelicaonCharaxes eupale can be found in the lowland evergreen forests of Senegal, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic, Angola, Zambia, Uganda, Sudan, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, & Malawi. Their green coloring is due to pigmentation, as opposed to the color being produced structurally (scales). This specimen is encased in a 3 x 4 frame.
