This type of armour plate consisted of iron strips that were attached to the inner side on a leather strap. This is a reconstruction of a lorica segmentata from the late 1stcentury AD that was found in Newstead, Scotland. The main difference between this type and is predecessors is that the Newstead lorica consisted of less ? but bigger plates. The reconstruction is suitable
